A UCInetID is a 3 to 8 letter code based on your name that uniquely identifies you at UCI. For example, "Quinn R. Smith" might receive the identifier "qsmith" or "qrsmith". This ID is assigned when a student initially enrolls at UCI. It is used for access to a variety of UCI online services and as the prefix to a student's UCI email address.
In order for you to receive email through your UCI address, you must activate your UCINetID. Visit the Network & Academic Computing Services web site for detailed instructions on how to activate your account.
