It is possible to get your UCI email at home providing that you have activated your UCINetID account. Visit the special Network & Academic Computing Services web site for instructions on how to set the preferences for receiving your email.

UCI also just set up a new way for students to collect their email online (similar to using Hotmail or Yahoo). The service is called Webmail. Click here to go to the Webmail site. Use your UCINetID and password to gain access to your email.
