As a transfer student, what are my on-campus housing options?
There are several great on-campus housing options for all types of transfer students. For comprehensive information about all the options for transfer student on-campus housing, please visit the Transfer Housing web site.
If you are interested in living on-campus and you are over 25 or married, it is important to get on the housing waiting list as soon as possible (they will allow you to be placed on the waiting list even before applying to UCI) because the waiting list is long. Information about how to get on the waiting list is found at the Verano Place web site.
Arroyo Vista has three Transfer Theme Houses, and there are many transfer students scattered throughout the other theme houses. The TSCP and The Center for Educational Partnerships co-sponsor the Transfer Houses, holding workshops and parties throughout the year. Housing is guaranteed to transfer students under 25 for their first year. If you missed the deadline, but are still interested in on-campus housing, you can get on the waiting list by visiting the Housing Office on the 2nd floor of the Administration Building.
Verano Place offers affordable housing for single undergraduates 25 years of age or older and students with families. The community atmosphere in Verano is pleasant and very supportive for single, married, and single-parent transfer students. The TSCP counselor lived in Verano and can offer insight about all aspects of living there.
